Thomas Edison
Born on February 11, 1847, in Milan, Ohio, Thomas Edison is an American inventor. Before he died, he invented the phonograph, the transmitter for the telephone speaker, an improved light bulb, and key elements of motion-picture. As well as other bright inventions. He also created the world's first industrial research laboratory. Edison died on October 18, 1931, in West Orange, New Jersey.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. King, both a Baptist minister and civil-rights activist. He had a major impact on race relations in the United States, beginning in the mid-1950s. Among many efforts, King headed the SCLC. Through his activism, he played an important role in ending the segregation of African-American citizens in the South and other areas of the nation. As well as the creation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
